An award-winning Catholic educator, Kelly was named the Secretary for Catholic Schools and Superintendent of Schools for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington in August 2020. She has held several positions in the Catholic Schools Office of the archdiocese since 2003, including roles in special education, curriculum, and various leadership assignments. Kelly is also a graduate fellow of the Harvard University Graduate School, Center for Education Policy Research Strategic Data Project. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree from the University of Louisville.
