An award-winning educator, Lisette has served in public schools as a special education teacher and speech and language therapist; in Catholic schools, she has served as a teacher, curriculum specialist, and principal. A published author who has served on the boards and committees of numerous education-related organizations including the Saint Louis University Education Department Strategic Planning Committee and the Texas Private School Association (TPSA), Lisette has also served as an adjunct professor education at the University of Dallas and Saint Louis University. Before assuming her current role as the Director of Education and Accreditation for the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops, Lisette was the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Brownsville. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas-Pan American, masters’ degrees from Texas A&M University and the University of Notre Dame, and a doctoral degree from Saint Louis University.
